1-   From the President.

For amateurs, professionals, and everyone in between that loves clarinet- this is our place to come together; our home.

Here at The Japan Clarinet Society (JCS), we proudly remember the International ClarinetFest of 2005 that was held in Tokyo.  In record numbers, clarinetists from throughout Japan and the world enjoyed a spectacular week sharing music and making friendships.

JCS started out as a small group of professionals staying in touch with each other.  But more and more, our children in primary school and our grandparents in retirement are playing music with each other for no other reason than to just have fun.  We now aim to serve everyone- young to old, good pitch and bad, squeaks and no squeaks- that loves music and loves clarinet.

For example, we hold a JCS Festival every year in a different city.  We also have a Junior Competition, a Clarinet Ensemble Competition, and even a Senior competition every two years.

Far beyond Japan' s boarders and the realm of the clarinet, we seek to make successful friendships and alliances outside Japan, throughout the world.
